What’s sorghum syrup? Made from the sorghum plant, a gluten-free cereal grain, we call it the maple syrup of the South, but it has a distinctly darker, richer flavor than maple. Naturally rich in iron, calcium, and potassium, our sorghum syrup is slowly cooked in small batches at Muddy Pond Sorghum Mill in Tennessee.
Since its debut in 1932, the approach to making crunchy peanut butter hasn’t changed much - until now. Traditionally, crunchy peanut pieces and halves are blended into a finely ground peanut butter base. In every crunchy peanut butter we’ve seen, the same variety of peanut is used for both the “crunch” and the base. While there are several delicious examples of this tradition, we thought it could be better. We asked, “Why not choose the world’s crunchiest peanut variety for the ‘crunch’ and the best peanut for ground peanut butter as the base?” It’s a simple question with a delicious answer.
On top of its sublime crunch and fresh-roasted flavor, our Crunchy Peanut Butter is a prime example of how nutritious nut butters can be. Grown in the high plains of Cordoba, Argentina, our High-Oleic Runner peanuts are 30% higher in heart-healthy fats than other peanuts and are great sources of protein iron, calcium, magnesium, and the antioxidant resveratrol. These Cordoban peanuts are also grown in naturally rich soil without fertilizers, irrigation, or pesticides. Both the Runner and Virginia XL varieties are packed with protein, health-boosting minerals, and inflammation-reducing antioxidants.
